LOCATION GUIDE
Home or
location?
Home sessions are my favourite! You don't need a Pinterest-worthy space or the perfect furniture; we just need some natural lighting and space to be yourselves. I'll encourage you to play, run around, cuddle, and just be. The home is full of special memories, and the photos will show just that.
Outdoor sessions are preferably done during the warmer months at sunrise, or sunset, but if you're up for it, we can brave the cold, too! Canberra has so many amazing locations that provide a beautiful backdrop for your session! Explore my go-to guide below.
ARBORETUM
Whether we’re capturing the vibrant colours of autumn foliage, the beauty of spring blooms, or the expansive views of Lake Burley Griffin and the city skyline, the Arboretum promises endless opportunities for those WOW photos.
TUGGERANONG BADLANDS
We stumbled upon this location by accident, and I was thrilled about it! Imagine fluffy long grass, warm hues, pristine farmlands in the distance and mountains on the horizon. The sunsets here are pure magic!
yarralumla
There are quite a few spots we can explore around Yarralumla, from the lush gardens around Weston park, to the cottage-style gardens surrounding the Oaks Brasserie Cafe. If you like the whimsical vibe, this may be the spot for you.

Googong damn
In my opinion…Googong is VERY underrated. It has a ‘country on the lake’ vibe, and the dam is huge! There’s plenty of spots to snap the perfect shot around this area, from high-up view points to beautiful walking tracks right along the dam.

Wanniassa Hills Nature Reserve
Wanniassa Hills Nature Reserve is a protected area in north-eastern Tuggeranong adjacent to the suburbs of Fadden and Macarthur. In Spring and Summer you can usually expect beautiful green hills and wildflowers scattered throughout the picturesque fields! This spot is dog-friendly.

COOLEMAN RIDGE
A popular location for dreamy sunsets and various backdrops, from rocky areas, mountain ranges, grassy hills and forests. Expect quite a bit of walking to access the best spots, but if you’re up for some adventure, Cooleman’s Ridge has it all, and it’s dog friendly!
Lambriggs lookout
Lambrigg Lookout is located in Paddys River, easy to miss, but worth the drive!
It’s a scenic, and quiet spot that offers wide country views with mostly warm tones.
Casuarina Sands
Located along the banks of the Murrumbidgee River, Casuarina Sands offers a picturesque backdrop for your photoshoot. With its shady riverside beaches, scenic 360-degree views of the surrounding hills, and beautiful natural surroundings, it’s the perfect spot to capture stunning portraits, family moments, or engagement photos.
